Scenic country drives. historic villages, art and craft galleries, antique shops, bush walking, bicycling, tennis, golf, horse riding, hot air ballooning, tandem sky-diving, aerobatics, motor cycle and 4WD tours.
To the delight of many visitors, Kangaroos in their natural environment can be viewed on the property at dusk and dawn most times of the year.
Pets are allowed on the property if they are restrained or under your control when on a short stroll around the 40 acres.
Although pets are not encouraged inside the cottages.
Depending on the type of pet and its usual circumstances if the pet is to be inside at times a tariff and a bond is required to ensure the pet remains off furniture and any damage etc.
General Information:
A number of wineries are within 5 minutes drive, and the centre of the Pokolbin winery area is ten minutes.
Nearby Restaurants: Hunter Country Lodge (Shakey Tables) - approximately 4km, usually open 5 nights a week for dinner (closed Wednesday & Thursday).
Royal Federal Hotel - in Branxton's main street, providing a casual Hotel - Bistro and takeaway.
Branxton also has takeaway Chinese and Fish & Chips.
Local Services: Branxton - has an IGA supermarket (Monday to Sunday 8.00am to 6.00pm)
Greta - has a 24 hour service station that supplies the essentials, eg bread, milk, etc.
If you prefer to purchase your groceries before arrival, Cessnock has Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets in the town centre, as well as banks with ATMs.
Golf Courses: Nearby Branxton has a testing local nine hole course.
The Vintage Golf Resort is also close by, Cypress Lakes Championship Course and Hunter Valley Golf & Country Club are within the nearby Pokolbin vineyard area.
